I seen this place always and heard the food was good even though my train was a few minutes away yesterday 4:7:24 I tried the fastest food to go and it was the Mexican tacos it was delicious full of flavor each taco was $3.50. Think he was the owner very nice and answered my questions. He made sure my food was up to par but that I made the trai. It's a grocery store one part but a sit area in the other side. Very clean place and ambiance fits the setting I definitely will go going back try other things hope I will have more time. You can eat and shop too
My family is from Michoacán, Mexico, my mom is a great cook and I lived in LA for many years so I can tell good Mexican food just by looking at a picture. We were close by and decided to check this place out. The staff was super friendly and helpful from the moment we walked in. My husband had carnitas and barbacoa tacos and I had carne asada and carnitas tacos. They were all absolutely delicious. Authentic, extremely flavorful, lots of meat and the salsa had the right amount of kick to it! This place is also a Mexican market so you can get pan dulce, spices, candy, etc. We will be back for more!

This place smacks and trust me, I'm a Mexican from LA so that says a lot. As far as authenticity goes, La Poblanita, takes the win. From their brands to the food they serve, it will remind you of home. It's hard finding good Mexican food in Connecticut and I think I found my regular spot. This tiny store/ restaurant deserves more love and attention. All the employees were so kind, they embody that warm Mexican hospitality that makes anyone feel welcomed. Their tacos (asada and al pastor), sopes (chorizo and al pastor), and horchata were delicious. These were the dishes we ordered and savored each bite. Will be sure to explore the menu the next time I come here, which is soon. The great thing is that you don't break the bank for getting this good food. Plus their chile actually pica (is spicy). Come here, get good food, and support your local markets.
Best authentic mexican food I've had in Connecticut! The owners are so sweet and the place is so welcoming. I'm very happy I came and will definitely be coming back!
